Casting directors, take note

2008 is an election year, and there are more than a few TV incumbents who should be voted out of their respective offices. Well, roles. Some have overstayed their welcome, some were just miscast and others are simply intolerable. But one thing holds true for all: Their shows would be better off without them.

In honor—and complete awe—of “One Tree Hill” returning for a fifth season (premiering Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m./7c on the CW), here’s our roundup of the TV stars most in need of an ousting for some character recasting.
