Aside from having the hottest restaurant staff in Louisville, as voted by Velocity magazine, Palermo Viejo is the only restaurant in the Midwest where one can find authentically prepared Argentine food. The meat is prepared on a unique charcoal grill, designed by an Argentinean craftsman, for the sole purpose of slowly cooking free-range beef. To experience this fully, order the La Parrillada -- homemade Chorizo, short ribs, flank steak and sweetbread served with authentic chimichuri sauce and salads. Pair it with a glass, or two, of Clerico -- another family creation that mixes white Argentinean Sangria with a blend of fruit juices, so you get a buzz and your daily serving of vitamin C.
