A look at Sake Blue

I've finally found my favorite sushi joint!! From the ambience (cool humongo painting behind the sushi bar), great lighting and decor, waterfall art deco piece) to the service to the FOOD. My husband and I spent our one year anniversary here and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We ordered a seared albacore appetizer that was topped with crispy onions and ponzu sauce (heavenly) and ended up getting their house roll called the sake blue (came witha flaming plate), chef jack roll (my favorite) and the several orders of sashimi that came on a wooden boat. Can't wait to try it again!!

The sushi at Sake Blue is tops, some of the best in town. I enjoy the atmosphere and vibe, as well as the selection of the menu. We dined at Sake Blue Valentine's Day and had a lovely dinner - Great food, good service and really enjoyed the jazz music. Think they have jazz every Tuesday.

I went there once and I hated it. The food took FOREVER. The service was horendous. The sushi is drastically overpriced and not hardly worth the money. It ould be ok if it was good, but it was mediocre at best. I would rather drive the 20 minutes to Saporro than 5 minutes to this hole. Did I mension the roaches? Yes, I did see roaches PLURAL. It's seems the owners have never eaten in a restaraunt before. Overal the place was a mess.

I love sake blue! I've been here about five times this past month; and although, sometimes service is a little slow, my servers were very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to give me and my husband a good rundown of what's the best on the menu. They've only been open for a month now I think, and it feels like both the service and food seem to get better and better. The Sake Blue roll and Chef Jack roll are by far my favorite rolls, and they now have a new roll called the Baked Scallop roll which they bake in the oven before serving. The result is a warm, gooey goodness that I am already craving! Try their lychee panna cotta with toasted cocunuts for dessert...I've never tried "lychee" but apparently it's a popular fruit in asia and it's great with the italian cream served with it. good luck to the owners! It's a bit strange that it's located out in fern creek, but definitely worth the drive for us.

I would like to give a review of the food I had at sake blue, however, my entree never arrived. they are having big time "kinks" for a new restaurant. It is a bad day when you pay a $71 dollar tab and go home hungry with a headache. sure, they apologized profusely and gave me my entree at no cost, but I still have the headache and I am still hungry. perhaps they dont have the staff yet to open.
