My boyfriend, daughter, and myself went to Ray Parella's after hearing from family members of the great food from years ago and was thoroughly disappointed. The moment we walked in, the manager and hostess' were on a cell phone yelling at some guy and didn't even have the courtesy to greet us. Once we were seated they gavee us a FILTHY high chair to put my daughter in that was absolutely revolting. We ordered spinach queso as an appetizer and when it came out it was like water and the chips looked like they came from a pee wee ball game. It's a shame that a once famous restaurant is so poorly maintained now.

Ray is a Kentuckiana ICON. His restaurant has found itself in Louisville from years of operation across the river. His food is basic Itialian as you would find in the Itialian country side. Moderate pricing and great service all the times I've been there. Try the Frankfort Avenue Trolley hop and give Ray Parella's a go. You won't be disapointed!
