As the name suggests, Little India operates on a small scale. The dining room is long and narrow, comfortable but humble. One wall is given over to a steam table that carries buffet offerings at lunchtime. A large-screen TV at the rear plays Bollywood videos and movies. A few generic artworks hang from the wall. The place is run Madani Kumer and his family, and though the staff is small, they greet you warmly, serve you efficiently, and know every dish on the menu - perhaps because what they're serving is also what they eat. The menu is concise, just a couple of pages. But you can't judge a book by counting up the pages, and for a tiny place, Little India dishes up big pleasures.
