The new ‘menu d’automne’ at Bistro Le Relais, 2817 Taylorsville Road, features some “oldies but goodies,” according to owner Anthony Dike. “People have been coming here for 25 years, and they say, ‘remember that salmon dish?’” he says. “You give the people what they want.”
So Dike returned a dish that dates to the restaurant’s earliest days — salmon chinoiserie with spinach and roasted potatoes.
Also new on the menu: steak tartare with Wagyu beef; grilled onion walnut bread with mushrooms; and haricots verts salad with marinated fingerling potatoes, cherry tomatoes, bacon and Fourme d’Ambert blue cheese. New cocktails include the Parisian Orchid, with Ocean vodka, elderflower, pineapple and lemon; and the French 75 with (fittingly for the Bowman Field location) Aviation gin and Champagne.
