The Backstage Cafe bills itself as the world's smallest dinner theater, seating only 24 for shows. It serves deli sandwiches, North Carolina-style barbecue, Ruebens, desserts, sides and pita sandwiches.
The real excitement, though, is in the evenings when the improv troupe plays, or live music fills the room.
The owners teach piano, voice and ballroom dance, and put on murder mysteries at My Old Kentucky Dinner Train in Bardstown.
