David Corio caught Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde in a moment of action at the band’s performance at Nashville Rooms, the famed London punk venue, in March 1979. Corio had been an art student in London whose dream was to shoot the rock ’n’ roll greats. “All his teachers told him it wasn’t a (worthy) subject,” Buckland says. “Corio did it anyway.”
