Also, only one entrance? We waited in an insane line that went all the way back to slugger field, then wrapped around under the interstate. Why? Piss-poor planning.

The MMJ show was great, and a real treat for Louisville. I am so glad that I was able to attend. The weather was perfect, the crowd was in good spirits, and the band rocked for nearly 3 hours. However, I have to agree with a previous post that the services at the show were pathetic. There was only one beer vendor for 10,000 concert goers, and inadequate food servies for snacks or non-alcoholic bevs. The logistics were very poorly planned out. If you were not there way early then you missed the openers and were not able to get close enough to the stage to actually see the band perform. Jumbo screens would have been very helpful. Would this had cut into the planner's profits? Probably. But it would have made a difference to those in attendance. Also, exiting the venue was extremely dangerous and took forever. Somebody could have gotten badly injured if the crowd had gotten even a bit riled up.

Why did The Louisville Leopard Percussionists go on an hour before the show was supposed to start? I think most people missed their set entirely, and not on purpose.

Concert was incredible. MMJ really rocked it for the home crowd. It was Production Simple that screwed it up again. Lets do some math -- 10,000 people with only two beer tables = long, long waits. I feel like I missed half the show waiting for beer.

Concert veteran here ... It's a shame when such a great performance is overshadowed by poor planning. All lines were too long. Seems like someone would do the math on tickets sold vs. available services. The crowd plowed over me and my girl throughout the show. That can't be blamed on the planners ... just immature ignorance. Hard to believe that something billed as a celebration creates nothing but frustration. Indianapolis has figured it out with the shows at White River State Park, why can't Louisville?

MMJ was wonderful in every aspect of their concert. However, Louisville did not perform very well at all - 40 minute beer line?? Come on Waterfront and Louisville Bats - SHAME ON YOU!! The problem was the same with bathroom lines. If you can't serve 10,000 people adequately - don't sell the tickets. Big screens would also have satisfied the several thousand people who preferred sitting behind the crowded stage area. Everyone paid the same price - why not allow everyone in attendance equal enjoyment?
