Why Rain Wouldn't Bother Me

There's a 40 percent chance of precipitation today, the National Weather Service website days. I'm fine with that. First off, I'd welcome anything that might reduce the tyrannical heat. Besides, messy mud mixes well with old-school rockers like Steve Miller Band or the hippie-friendly Dave Matthews Band. (Loretta Lynn might not be as fun in the rain, though...) But the biggest reason I'm okay with rain comes from my experience this spring covering the Kentucky Derby infield in the rain. Now that was some rock 'n' roll stuff.
