Supergroup Dead Weather to play Coyote's

So Jack White, the Kills' Alison Mosshart, QOTSA's Dean Fertita, the Raconteurs' and Greenhornes' Jack Lawrence banded together in Nashville earlier this year to form a supergroup. They dubbed it the Dead Weather, and it was good. (Listen here.) Now comes word that the Dead Weather will play on June 11 at Coyote's (yes, Coyote's). Tickets are $25 advance, $27 day of show. They'll go on sale Saturday at Ticketmaster locations, ticketmaster.com or at (800) 745-3000.

The Dead Weather's debut album, "Horehound," is slated for release June 9, just days before the show. Louisville doesn't often get shows from non-Louisville bands so close to an album release, so this is quite cool. The Production Simple folks say Coyote's will open for shows scheduled before it's sad demise last month. So there's that.
