Halloween with the Monsters of Folk
My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, M.Ward, Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis -- collectively known as Monsters of Folk -- are touring this fall, and Louisville get's a special treat: Halloween at the Louisville Palace with the least scary monsters ever. Pre-sale tickets will be available July 28 and public tickets will be available July 31, according to the band's website. No word yet on price, but $1 from each ticket sold will got to charity. The quartet first assembled five years ago, on a tour that picked up the humorous "Monsters" meme. Their first record together will be released in September.
