When a movie becomes a blockbuster, sequels are sure to follow. Studio executives love the concept of a built-in audience, even if it means running a once clever concept right into the ground.
Sure, there are series like James Bond, which has somehow endured the test of time. But for every “Casino Royale” it feels like we get three “Spider-Man IIIs.”
With “Little Fockers” in theaters this Christmas, “Meet the Parents” fans are worried that their beloved franchise is about to go the route of “The Matrix.” Take a look back at other sequels that ruined a perfectly good time.
