“Rising Stars”
Premise: Months after a mysterious light appears in the sky over a small Illinois town, 113 babies are born with superpowers. It’s eventually discovered they actually share their powers, and that the death of one makes the rest slightly stronger—setting off a brutal battle for survival.
Why it would make a good movie: Who doesn’t love the idea of people drunk with power? And when that power is super… We might finally get the promising-but-wasted premise of TV’s “Heroes” put to good use.
