“Gotham Central”
Premise: You might think having Batman and his pals on your side would make being a police officer in Gotham City a breeze. But the Caped Crusader overshadows the cops, who still have to deal with every idiot in a crazy costume who thinks he’s the next Joker.
Why it would make a good movie: It’s a police procedural like “Law & Order” or “CSI,” except with costumed creeps and disgruntled cops. Oh, and did we mention it’s a Batman spin-off? As in an opportunity to keep “The Dark Knight” around even longer?
Possible cast: Cote de Pablo as Detective Renee Montoya [pictured]; Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon; Christian Bale cameo as Batman/Bruce Wayne
