Idol history: Losing to Taylor Hicks may have stung McPhee during season five, but who’s faring better now?
Big screen role: She plays a square sorority girl in the Anna Farris comedy “The House Bunny,” opening August 22 [she's in the center], and already has another role lined up in 2009’s “The Storyteller.”
Will she ever win an Oscar? With looks not unlike a young Julia Roberts and a charm infectious enough to compensate for less than ideal “Idol” singing, it might actually be in the cards. Someday.
