"Ice Age: The Meltdown"

From the beginning of a made-up Ice Age to the end of a real one, this animated sequel follows a trio of prehistoric mammals seeking shelter as the glaciers around them begin to melt. Anyone who attended grade-school history knows that changing environmental conditions did lead to the extinction of these creatures…but we’re pretty sure real-life woolly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers weren’t so quick with the sassy wisecracks. The credibility of this ongoing franchise isn’t helped by a forthcoming sequel that prolongs the characters’ lifespan past the point of expected extinction.
