When I was a kid, I remember every March 15 my dad would remind me to "Beware the Ides of March." It took a few years before I (sort of) understood what he meant ... and another several years before I actually read the Shakespeare quote myself in Julius Caesar.
Once again, the Ides of March is upon us this week, and Starz is hoping viewers might observe it by watching its original drama Spartacus: War of the Damned, which includes a portrayal of Caesar by Todd Lasance.
Today I have an exclusive scene from Friday's episode. Titled "Mors Indecepta," here's a description:
"Their forces pinned in on a snowbound, impassable ridge, Spartacus and Crixus come into conflict over the method of escape. Crassus discovers it increasingly difficult to control the actions of those closest to him."
