After turning Louisville on its head once, 21 years ago this month in fact, with the opening of Connections, George S. has done it again. Giving back seems to be them when walking in the theater square, from the wonderful food to the unreal decor and fabulous service, this place is still a best kept secret. When they are ready to fill up, Im sure they will. Absolutely friendly on the wallet, and not a lot of snobby queens. Friends queens with exceptional product knowledge, especially in the wine shoppe. These guys know their stuff. Definitely check out the entire property, as it is something that should not be missed.

I've been here several times and stick with my usual, the Is Special. It tastes awesome and I haven't seen it on many other menus at Mexican restaurants. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited at least twenty minutes before our server brought us more chips.

JhsTeenReporter commented on Foxy Shazam at Bulldog Cafe

You think B.C is bad? Have you been to FFC in Jeffersonville Indiana? It is nothing but "emo's" who want to complain. They sit there and cry and end up getting everyone decent kicked out shortly. Now, I may be one of the "goth" people you are talking about, but do everyone a favor. Check out other places in the area before you go and complain like a little "emo". B.C is one of the only places that I can take my college friends without having to worry about pricks like you comming up and ruining all my fun. So shut the fu** up and learn the truth to a story before you go and spread rumors. Also, just so you have your facts straight, B.C. is not always a "gothic wanna be" place. It's usually a place where people go to hang out and listen to live music. So go fu** your mother and be a good little prick. -.-

I had taken 30 of my employees, An off site meeting and Lunch on a weekday and free room rental for the event center. They had a PA and a big screen to hook my lap top for a PP presentation. Right downtown! Food was great! Now I just go for lunch about once a week with my Frequent Buyer card.

sherita1023 wrote about Bazo's Fresh Mexican Grill

I had never heard of Bazo's until I saw their "buy one get one" coupon in the 2010 Entertainment Book. My boyfriend and I decided to give them a try. We went in after the rush (around 7:30ish) and there was only one other group there. The girl who took our order was incredibly friendly and helpful. My boyfriend tried the Special Burrito and I had the Mexican Pizza. We also ordered lime chips and queso. The chips were awesome and I'm pretty sure they're made fresh. I'm used to the Mexican Pizza from Taco Bell and in comparison, this one was HUGE. I ate half of it and my boyfriend finished it. It was really good (much better than Taco Bell!). If you're looking for a nice alternative to Moe's or Qdoba's, try out Bazo!

This is an excellent example of why everyone should look in the mirror before leaving the house. Did she think that was a GOOD skirt?

Avalon is my favorite restaurant in Louisville by far. The menu is unique from others and I can never decide from all of the great options. Its a great place to go with groups because there are a ton of options for sharing. I highly recommend!

BobbiB wrote about JazzyBlu

This was something truly interesting, I didn't expect this when my girls called me and said lets go check out this new hot spot, First of all it wasn't west end nor was it deep east end, it was downtown and it wasn't that Fourth Street Live Crowd. It was a Atlanta type feel, a (Sambucca's, a Shark Bar or a Cafe 290) type vibe. I was truly taken back, because I havn't been able o find an up-scale laid back type club where Blacks and Whites mingle with the sole purpose of enjoying the evening and one anothers company. The music was GOOD, the food was EXCELLENT, and the service was on point. All I can say is I've now got a place to go. Thank You to who ever opened it.

AndreaMoulin wrote about JazzyBlu

This was my first time at Jazzyblu, a new venue in town. I believe it used to be a jazz club but now it's an upscale lounge providing live music every weekend. Some people were expecting it to be like the old jazz club but they are providing other types of music and not jazz. Anyway, it was an awesome experienced. I discovered this talented young man who is a neo soul violinist: Maestro J. He actually lives in Louisville but performs everywhere! The food was excellent. I had the seafood platter. The drinks were priced reasonably as well. I totally support what the owner is doing. I don't think the old jazz did well but this new club has more of a neo soul and R&B feel and Louisville needed that bad. I guess just jazz does not work in louisville. So if you're expecting this to be like the old jazz club, then this is not for you, but if you want to experience something NEW and with a lot of flavor...go to jazzyblu. I'm going next weekend!

The food was ok. I might have returned, but they tried to double tip me. Automatically added 20% to my bill. The waitress was obviously trying to slide it by as she kept changing the subject. I will not return as that is stealing.

I went to Spin last week to see Eric Church. The facility is great and the people are super nice. Please support this place, as a good alternative to 4th street. Should be a lot of fun here. I would recommend it.

Yuk, yuk ,yuk. The food is not good, the service was slow. Then when they made change for my friend they put the wrong amount on his charge card, offered to give him the difference in cash, and tried to rip him off by intentionally shorting him a dollar. Don't waste your time or money going to this dump.

This space is awesome...and even more amazing when the walls are embraced by Barnhart artwork. The tall walls, brick exposure, intimate space upstairs, and openess makes for a great studio and gathering area!! I love the Mellwood Art Center. Its always a good time and a pleasure to show off to out of town guest. Best of luck to the new Gallery M!! LISA G

the wait staff should of informed you of how to cook them better. first step is to put all potatos and mushrooms in pot loose. then cook meats on the spears according to the minutes they advise. always cook just a little longer myself. Sounds like your whole meal could of been better if the wait staff did their job better. I agree 100% about the salads. they dont seem to fit the rest of the meal.

Great Baked goods, pastas are homemade-sauce is a bit bland, service- depends on who's working- I have been served a few times by the same person who seems pretty disoriented and messes up my order and gives my order to someone else. Prices are a little high on baked goods, but those cupcakes are delicious- especially if you are an icing lover like me!
