I do not and will never recommend this place due to its lack of character and lack of respectable crowd. Get rid of the sisterhood and their in laws and it might be a better place for everyone. No one worth having as a customer wants to hang out with low life biker gangs. I gave this place three chances and it was the same each night. Nothin but trouble...drama...and full of BS !!!!!

It is hard to find a place that will serve authentic Mexican food. This place is like little Mexico in Louisville. If you are wanting to step into a totally different country for your dining experience this is the place to go. The owner's are extremely polite and the food is wonderful. Try the horchata water!

The 6 of us decided on bistro 301 for our dinner Saturday night. We walked in and we seated right away. Nice ambiance and lighting. Our server was very nice and knowledgable. We had the diablo pastas, a steak a few salads. Everyone loved their meals. Service was perfect and the food was great! The tortellini diablo was amazing! Very generous portion as well. We had the chocolate torte and bread pudding for dessert. Both were fantastic the torte was dense, dark, and creamy and the bread pudding was moist and delicious banana with peices of walnut and chocolate and a hint of rum. Everything was great! We will be back!

This bar used to be hoppin! I moved out of town and came back for a visit and the first place I went to was Pep. This bar is nothing like it was when Kelly was the bartender hardly any people there and sub par bartenders. Kelliy the bartender made the place she was always happy to see you and packed the people in! She made awesome drinks, I asked for a liquid cocaine and this bartender had to look it up and then made it with the wrong liquors! So sad I miss the Peppermint that had Kelly bartending! please bring her back

Do not order a Greek salad here! This place does not know how to make a proper Greek salad. I ordered one recently and all it consisted of was lettuce, tomato, white onion and some white sour cream type of sauce. I'm a big fan on Greek salads and I know that is takes a little more than that to make one. How about adding some black olives, red onion instead of white, cucumbers, and the best part of all---FETA CHEESE!!! Also, where was the traditional olive oil and vinegar dressing??? It was horrible and a pathetic attempt. Totally turned me off, so from the looks of all the reviews on here- stick with the Gyro, however I can't personally vouch for it.
foodie2k8 wrote about China Taste
They don't have a buffet, its an average chinese place. Place your order, sit and wait. True, southern Indiana doesnt have many chinese places, but this is the one to go to. The food is always fresh and hot. The lady (i think shes the owner) sounds rude all the time, but thats just her tone, shes very polite and nice. I always call ahead, or have it delivered.
kittybo5 wrote about Heitzman Bakery
I had a birthday party with 60 people. I ordered a pineapple upside cake from Heitzman's Bakery with the price being $19.98. This cake being $19.98 I thought it would feed at least 10 people. This cake was so small it only had four pineapple rings on top with 1 little cherry in the middle. If I had picked this cake up myself, I would have left it there. But no, I had my young daughter to pick this cake up for me. When she handed me this cake I like to have died. I could not believe the size of this cake. Everyone at my party took pictures to tell others about the cake. No one could believe I paid $19.98 for this cake. The bakery is closed on Mondy. I called the bakery on Tuesday and asked the girl how much was a pineapple upside cake and she quoted $8.99. I explained to her what happened and she said she would have the manager give me a call on Wednesday. The manager never called back, so I called her after lunch on Wednesday. I talked to the manger and at first she offered to make me another cake. She later put me on hold and came back and said sorry the 6" cake was $19.98 and I don't know why the girl told you $8.99. And was the cake tasty, no very dry tasting.

My husband, friends, and I grew up around the Cane Run Rd area so we were happy to see a new, local spot open. We visited Gilbert's once -twice per month, for quite some time. Most of our group is very familiar with the previous business and current owner, of whom we were quite fond. We enjoyed seeing old friends, the location was convenient, the prices were fantastic, and the music was decent. The last couple times we visited, the atmosphere had dimmed. Customers & staff were uninviting...as if they didn't want anyone entering "their" place. On our last trip to Gilbert's, several men targeted a married couple and insisted on fighting. The staff seemed to overlook the behavior and treated the couple as if they were part of the problem. I attempted to reach the owner with no success. We are adults, looking to relax, and have a good time so we have decided to avoid Gilbert's... as fighting and an uninviting atmosphere is not on our entertainment agenda.
catsfan wrote about Scotty's Ribs & More
We've lived near Lake Forest for 5 years, and always have seen this place and thought we'd try it... BIG MISTAKE! I ordered take-out and got there when they said it'd be ready. 25 MINUTES LATER, I hear "Scotty" saying he was putting our food in...WHAT??? So, I told them I wanted my money back. When the lady told Scotty that, he yells "I'm not giving him his money back!" How about "Sir, I'm really sorry we made you wait so long!" Anyway, they did give my a refund... but, not even a hint of an apology. WOW! Then, I went to Wendy's, where I waited for about 2 minutes for my food. Scotty may have the best fried chicken, bbq, and ribs on the planet, but nothing is worth putting-up with people who are so clueless about customer service!

The food was not that great, mediocre at best. I went there with my mother, who loves to eat at buffet restaurants. I have had gastric bypass, so I can't really eat a lot, but I go along to make her happy. When I didn't finish my egg roll, I wrapped it up and put it in my purse to take with me. The waitress came over, and yelled at me in front of the entire restaurant accusing me of stealing food - and charged me an extra $2 for the egg roll. Never mind other patrons were there on their third plate of food, and I barely had 8 bites. I will absolutely NEVER go there again
Kendalizor wrote about Diamond Pub & Billiards
I moved from my state to this one because I had always wanted to be close to my favorite bar. The ratio is always good and they always have a band on the deck that isn't so loud you have to scream to talk. They stay open till 4am and it's never empty even on Monday or Tuesday night. Food is okay and good size servings and I never have trouble finding a pool table. My favorite part is the bartenders and how quick they are. There is also a newer Diamonds on Barrett which is bigger and nice, but doesn't have the atmosphere as this one does to me. I've tested out many bars all over Louisville and this one takes the cake :-)
Kendalizor wrote about Spinelli's Pizzeria
The great thing about this place is the hours are open till 5AM!! Great to go for night owls and they have a descent amount of beer. Spinelli's Pizza is usually thin and flimsy with the toppings sliding off. The Stromboli's are okay, but too chewy and light on filling cause of the bread. Still it's cheap and open when nowhere else is serving food. I wish there were more places to eat this late. There is a nice unique atmosphere here. This is the better of the other Spinelli's in Louisville.
