Kate Rooney, 26, left, from Indianapolis, tipped a cold beer in the infield with her friend, Melissa Leary of New Albany. Rooney came to the Derby this year wearing a hat that she made to wear in her upcoming wedding. Her fiance didn't make it. "It's a ladies thing!" she said.
