Baxter Station Bar & Grill

Not too big but not a hole-in- the-wall, Baxter Station Bar and Grill may look like it would be famous for beer and burgers -- which it does well -- but the menu also includes dishes like pan steamed mussels, warm goat cheese salad and a veggie Cuban sandwich. It has the feel and decor of a laid-back family restaurant with a toy train that continuously runs a circumference around the bar and eating areas -- but the food selection of an upscale eatery. On weekends and late hours, the bar is bustling mostly with locals from the surrounding neighborhood. It's definitely a good idea to make reservations before you head to Payne Street.
