While the Baxter Avenue corridor does seem at times to house an overwhelming plethora of Irish-themed pubs and restaurants, each of them truly has some element making it unique. At Flanagan's it's the laid back environment coupled with some of the friendliest bartenders in town that make it a favorite watering hole for many.

Last year's winner

A staple of the Bardstown Road/Baxter Avenue bar scene, the namesake for the O'Shea's family of pubs is not to be missed. The dark, woody atmosphere inside is so relaxing that it would be easy to sink into one of the booths (with a full Guinness, of course) for an entire afternoon. However, lots of outdoor seating is also available with arguably one of the best patios in town - with a great view for people watching. While better known for its beverages, O'Shea's also has an extensive menu with appetizers, salads (the Warm Brie Salad is great), entrees and, of course, a great Reuben!
