Do you want to show off a little bit? Take your friends to Avalon. The trendy gourmet spot on Bardstown Road has the typical hallmarks of a posh restaurant -- sharply dressed servers, classical music in the background and a décor that would make Donald Trump sit down for a cocktail, so he could appreciate all of the local art on display and in view of every table. For those looking to embrace nature as they sample the gourmet goodness of truffle lobster macaroni and cheese, eat on the heated garden-style patio, which gives an excellent view of Bardstown Road.
