Sapporo on Bardstown Road is an upscale, trendy Japanese restaurant that makes impressively crafted and tasty Sushi in clever combinations like the Bardstown Roll -- spicy crab, asparagus and tempura whitefish topped with a spicy chili-sauce -- or the Top Gun Roll -- fried crab, asparagus and seared fillet mignon basted with a special sauce. Looking for a Top Gun joke? Sorry, ghost rider, it's not going to happen. Sapporo is a great place to impress a date, but be careful. The wait staff is mostly young, attractive people who could get you ditched if you're caught looking. But you are far too smooth for that, right?
