Bourbon battle brewing on Bardstown

Friendly competition promises a spirited Holiday Bourbon Battle among Bardstown Road restaurants and bars, which will pit their prowess against each other by offering specially created bourbon drinks in the Four Roses-sponsored showdown that will run through Dec. 3.

Vote for your favorite bourbon drink by texting the name of the restaurant/bar to 22333, emailing the establishment’s name to bourbonbattle@gmail.com or by visiting Facebook.com/Four Roses Bourbon.

Participants include Asiatique, Avalon, Bearno’s, Boombozz, Flanagan’s, Highland Liquors, Lilly’s, Lynn’s Paradise Café, Monkey Wrench, O’Shea’s, Outlook Inn, Ramsi’s, Seviche, The Bard’s Town and Winston’s.

The bartender with the winning recipe will receive $500, an engraved Four Roses decanter and a plaque.

“We’re all friends and like to support Bardstown Road, but it’s seriously all about winning. It’s a pride thing,” says Pabs Sembillo of Asiatique.
